The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating system has two
equal parts: the rating symbol (found on the front of the box) and content descriptors
(located on the back). To take full advantage of this system, it's important to review both the rating symbol and content descriptors,
especially when purchasing games for children.

Going Beyond the Ratings
To further evaluate a game, you can review the overall description including features, screen shots, and cover art.
And since most of our GameStop and EB Games employees are avid gamers, we also encourage you to ask them for advice.
Searching Online
The Internet is a powerful resource to search for reviews and other information on a particular game. In fact, you
can easily search games by title, rating, platforms, and more at GameStop.com,
EBGames.com or ESRB.org.
An Important Online Gaming Notice
Games that feature online play and user-generated content, such as chat, maps, and skins, will carry the notice "Game Experience
May Change During Online Play" to indicate that this player-created content has not been rated by the ESRB.

All GameStop and EB Games employees enforce our store policy with respect to games rated M (Mature) by the ESRB. We DO NOT sell, reserve, or offer
Mature rated games to customers under 17 years of age. When a Mature game is scanned, an ESRB advisory appears on the
register screen requiring employees to ask any under-age customer for a valid photo ID, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Found on the front the box, the ESRB rating symbol helps you quickly identify if the game is age-appropriate.
